Makan Makan

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

Makan Makan is a food journaling and crew game for Singapore, operated by Yoann Tilmont. This page explains what data the app handles and why. The short version: your meal photos are visible only to people in your crews, we collect nothing we do not need to run the game, and you can delete a meal or your whole account from inside the app at any time.

What we collect

Who can see your content

Your meal photos and captions are visible only to members of your crews and to anyone you personally share a meal link or Table QR with. There is no public feed. Season leaderboards show crew names and scores only, never photos.

Where it lives

Game data is stored on our server in Singapore. Photos are stored with Cloudflare R2. Sign-in is processed by Clerk. Maps and place search are provided by GrabMaps; dish recognition uses OpenAI's vision API (your photo is sent for analysis and is not used to train models per OpenAI's API terms).

Deleting your data

You can delete any individual meal (Profile → your meals), which removes the photo from our servers and from your crews' feeds. You can delete your entire account (Profile → Delete account), which permanently erases your photos, passport, crew memberships, handle, and sign-in identity. Crew scores already earned stay on the board without your content.

What we never do

Reports and moderation

Anyone can report a meal they can see in the app. Reports are reviewed by a human, and offending content or accounts can be removed.
